TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:
My aim with students of all ages is to create a confident and knowledgeable performer while instilling as much joy and musicality into them as possible. I am a big fan of setting goals for yourself-no matter how big or small- and doing what it takes to reach them! Every student is different, and there is no cookie-cutter method to learn to sing! Individualized attention to what students need to achieve their goals is the most important thing.
MY BACKGROUND:
I am a classically trained tenor born and raised in Florence, KY. Growing up, I was surrounded by music and took part in choir and theatre productions throughout school as well as cantoring for the choir at Holy Cross Church in Latonia, KY. In 2018, I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Voice Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music before moving to Boston and obtaining a Masters Degree in Voice from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2022. Since graduating, I have worked as a technical assistant for Boston Lyric Opera helping to deliver their 2022 season. Additionally, I worked as the Artistic Intern for Stratagem Artists- an Artist Management Company located in New York City. Most recently, I worked as the Company Management Intern for Cincinnati Opera as well as a Voice Teacher at the Cincinnati School of Music in Anderson, OH.
WHEN I’M NOT TEACHING:
Family time is most important to me and I love spending time with the people I love the most. Additionally, I LOVE the game of golf and try to play as often as I can. Sports events, concerts, and any excuse to go outside are things I’m always on the hunt for.
