TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:
I believe all children should have access to a music education. My goal is to create a safe space for everyone to be included in music making. Music brings people together, heals, enriches, soothes, and brings joy and that’s what I hope to do through my teaching.
MY BACKGROUND:
I graduated from the University of Louisville in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching. After graduating I became a middle school band director in Grant County and have been there for 8 years. I am stepping away from that role to enjoy a few years as a stay at home mom. I am looking forward to continuing my music journey with UMA.
WHEN I’M NOT TEACHING:
I enjoy video games, reading, and watching movies. My favorite thing is being with my wife and son. We love to be outside, do puzzles, and travel together.
